I just watched
this video on LSD and read this article on Magic Mushrooms. Seems interesting, but I wouldn't try it. I have too many nightmares about zombies! I'll ask my therapist, though, what he thinks about this subject. Has anyone tried this yet? Hugs

My experience? From both types? Horrible. Horrifying. Terrifying. I was not in control of my thoughts, actions, behaviors, emotions. I saw very scary things like skeletons and felt terrifying things like falling with no bottom.

Sad thing is that I experienced such horrible things, but I still used them again. I was so desperate to be part of a group of friends that I did whatever to be there with them.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad trips That's why I don't feel like trying LSD, cause I have many recurring dreams. I'd do it if my therapist thought it was good for me, though.

Ya don't do that business. Did it in between HS and college....wasn't cool at all. Plus I'm bipolar...so mad me rapid cycle like every 30 minutes. Laughing, then crying, then laughing then crying. Plus...if you happen to get pissed enough to fight someone....you might end up in jail....not knowing why you're there.

interesting. i've experimented with it too and i had nothing but positive experiences . The only problem with that is that it is different for everyone. The three close friends i have that have tried psychedelics have had terrible experiences with them. for some reason when i do drugs i dont get paranoid, i dont get scared, or sad or get mood swings. in fact its about the only time i dont get paranoid, scared or sad or have mood swings. The only problem with drugs is that like i said they affect everyone differently and most people tend to get a variety of the bad effects. like the really bad ones, especially if they have a mental illness. also its not a frequent thing with me. il do this maybe once or twice every six months however the video sounds like it might make you think that you can self medicate using lsd which sounds like the beginning of a story with a really bad ending. In the video though they also suggest meditation and i can totally vouch for that. it helps tremendously. it helps with sleep, and it helps with anxiety (two of my main problems) and probably helps with a whole bunch of other things too plus meditation nets you some of the aspects of a drug induced state and their benefits but none of the drawbacks

Those are some pretty dangerous drugs. I doubt very seriously if we would ever see the FDA approve the use of those drugs for any reason.
This country can't use prescription allergy meds responsibly. Those drugs would be the same nightmare as prescription pain meds if not worse.

I always had good trips. It brought out my creative side. I have no desire to do those anymore because I think my mental state has gotten worse over the years so I don't want to rock the boat. They used to use LSD on mental patients, this was years ago, but they did see progress in some of the patients so I assume that is where this video's theory comes from. However there were some bad responses to the drug and that shot that theory. There is LSD induced schizophrenia to be concerned about. People get flashbacks from the drug. I still do 10 yrs later.
