New pdoc won't take Bipolar dx off my chart...says I'm probably super rapid cycling. Won't take BPD off my chart...says I definitely fit the criteria.

Gave me 2mgs of Haldol to take half at night and one during the day for anxiety, reckless behavior, impulsiveness, and SH behaviors. It's a scary drug and it bothers me that I'm putting this in my body, but maybe it will help? She wrote it as half a day though so the pharmacy only filled 15 pills...I told her that would happen, but she didn't listen. Oh well. I see her next week.

Gave me Lamictal...starting at only 50mg to titrate. I've taken it before. Had no effect, but she wants to try it again. Now it's a generic! Hooray! I was on 400mg a day at my peak and no SJ syndrome so I think I should be fine.

Continuing Wellbutrin SR 150mg x 2 AM. Thinking about adding Paxil at a later date to help with my SH issues...apparently SSRIs are good for that??? Not now though, because we want to find out if the haldol is any good.

Klonopin got cut from 60mg a month to 30 mg a month, but still at 1 to 2 per day PRN. She doesn't think I need all those benzos floating around if I'm not taking them. I agree.

Wish me luck. I see her again in a week. I've never been with a pdoc who cared enough to see me again in a week. it's usually a month out no matter how bad off I am. And she listened to me and let me give her the sheet of meds I've taken. I'm happy right now.

Well, as happy as one can be when you're experiencing SI and stuff...

Had a panic attack trying to get there. Google maps said make a uturn when I should've just turned...So I was 8 minutes late...Made me shaky and uncomfortable and scared. More than I already was.

Then I sat in the waiting room waiting for someone to tell me what was going on because they kept insisting I had a medcheck and not an intake. Screaming kids, yelling grannies....its a state operated place. All of us crazies congregate here for services.

She didn't say anything about therapy, but I hope I can get back in soon.

On Wednesday when I drive north to pay rent at the place I don't live in anymore where my stuff stays, I'm picking up all my DBT books and CBT books and working on them.

Things will get better. They have to.

I'm on 400mg Lamictal daily... I'm with you. No effect.

SSRI's have never been very effective for me, at least not for very long. Still SI'd then, still do now...

I'm impressed with a pdoc that's going to see you again in a week! I'm lucky if I can get in every 2 months even when I got through major med changes (which lately has been more frequent than my every 2 months appointments).

Good luck! Hope the meds help you
