I have been diagnosed with traits of BPD and I was wondering if this affects
your opinion of your therapist. My therapist has given me CBT therapy and I am not as anxious as I used to be. My anxiety used to run a 9 or a ten out of ten scale. Now most days it is a three at the most. I have been out of the psych- iatric hospital for 13 months.,etc. There are times when I dont like him(where as I normally respect him). I have fired ALL past therapists. The present one I have seems opposed to me some how or is the borderline traits? I also have OCD, PTSD, bipolar I and traits of BPD. ![]() |

All I can say is keep trying with therapists, it's not always about what they know, but how they use they're knowledge to better people, if they are genuine to their patients NO MATTER what the dx etc. So it is trial and error, that is the only advice I can give.
Hope all works out for you, hugs ![]()

I hope your therapist still works with you.
Some of them can have attitudes toward bpd's, but not all of them do. I hope you and he can continue or you can find someone who will work with you. Good luck. ![]() Billi
