I was recently diagnosed with Cluster B traits which my individual therapist believes is due to BPD. I don't know a lot about BPD, but I also have Bi-Polar. I suffer from paranoia on a daily basis and don't know how to handle it. I'm looking for some friends or acquaintances with whom I can relate. I'm still doing some research on the diagnosis so that I can be educated and learn some new ways to manage the many distorted thinking patterns that I have. I appreciate any and all comments and suggestions.

Welcome Flipper
I'd recommend reading the introduction to the BPD forum. It gives a lot od info. Read through current threads and contribute when you can, add additional threads if questions arise, and FEEL like you belong. A large part of the anxiety and depression from BPD comes from feeling alone. You're no longer alone.

Hey Flip,

Welcome to our board! One piece of advice that I can give you if you do have a BPD diagnosis is to get involved in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This type of therapy was originally designed for BPD and is HUGELY helpful. Any other answers to questions you may have that I can give you, please feel free to ask. Welcome again! Please feel at home here.

Hi Flipper

I've found some great tips reading posts around here, finding support from others, and starting to work on some DBT skills: www.dbtselfhelp.com

DBT tools can help to manage our moods and thoughts.
Best wishes, we're glad to have you.
