Well I was playing my game, the current obsession I have, Guild Wars 2 the other night. It's an MMO game which is a game with thousands of players online at the same time..for those that don't already know. I spoke with one person in my guild, a guy that apparently suffers from PTSD from being in the military. Anyway long story short, we are both divorced/separated with kids and we got to talking privately about our own issues. Anyway.. he felt about the same way as I do about my ex and relationships in general. Kind of fed up, beaten up, tired and weary of the whole idea. :/

Anyway so to get to my point, I have decided that I'm going to continue to work on myself, alone. I'm going to learn to be content in my singlehood and just get on with my life. To do that I've learned over the past months that I truly have to keep my distance from people, more specifically, women. Don't get me wrong, ladies, it's not a strike against women in general, but against being involved. See, when I get too close, too involved, I get emotionally intertwined with women that I am attracted to and connected, and to put it mildly, all hell breaks loose in my heart and mind. it's not a pretty picture, simply for the fact that 99.9% of the time, the women don't feel the same way for me and even if they did, it would probably just be a messy situation anyway. So anyway, that's what I'm thinking today. God knows it could change at the drop of a hat, knowing my track record

Anyway, just getting my thoughts down here. comments are welcome but not necessary, most of my posts don't invite comments much anyway :/

I, whether it's fortunate or not, "get" the feeling you described very, very well and have found myself in a similar predicament on more than enough occasions. Doesn't matter if it's in person, virtual, or otherwise. Not a problem at all. Do what you've got to do.

I do know what you mean S4. It appears every male I meet is all or nothing. I jump all the way in and end up in trouble. (not the bed room type ) I become super needy. It is a fine balance I have not yet mastered. I try hard to keep my distance from the males here. I socialize but get sucked in way to easy or suck others in. Any way, I know what ya mean.

Working on keeping my distance to. Keep in touch every now and again.

i can completely relate. is part of why i'm not on here much. except for me, it seems to be anybody, whatever gender. it's weird.

Funny you mentioned Guild Wars 2. One of my online friends plays that game, tried to get me to play it but I don't think I could wrap my tiny little brain around it. Lol. Know what you mean about distancing yourself away from opposite sex. Feel to much to quick.

LOL GW2 is the shizz. You should try it. Not too complicated, but lots of stuff to it.

Why because of the crafting? It seems quite simple to me! Nothing like EQ2's crafting system which I like but is complex.

It's not that it's too complex exactly, it's just so annoying. I have to stop all the time to figure out the next step. I like complexity in crafting as long as there are many menial tasks to even it out.

I'm not sure what you mean. What crafting system would you say is ideal in this way? i don't see it as drastically different from all the other systems I've seen such as Wow, Rift, Lotro... I dunno. I guess you need to elaborate. Stop how? Pm me the answer, this isn't really a gaming thread O.o

Lotro! I maxed all of the professions.
It says I can't send you PMs.

It is really freaking old. Lol. Friend had me run a program to see if computer was up to par before I bought the game, it said no go.

that sucks. I have a good video card I just replaced. Still would run the game. I'd sell it to you cheap as dirt but idk if it would work in your machine.
