An inspiration for the life-challenged people here...

so whenever you are facing challenges in your life and difficult times, remember if life were too easy, no growth happens. When everything is easy and we are successful without trying, nothing is really gained but a big ego. (this is a great and very accurate quote)
Thanks for this!

I must remember this the next time my brother starts bragging about being better at video games. I have a lot more trouble than he does when we first get a new game, but I have to play so much longer to get good that I usually surpass him if I like the game.

But what if everything is always difficult? Why does everything have to be so hard? Just offering the pessimist view.
Thanks for this!

"Oh, no -- here comes another learning experience." Or the joy of making 1000 mistakes to finally figure out one thing. Not very satisfying. I'd like a few more ego trips, rather. Grumble, grumble.

I don't know. When things are too easy, they don't hold my attention. Plus, my work is better when I learn something little by little. But that's just me.

well everythign can be hard at times. And when we're in the midst, this saying really isn't going to be taken well but it's something to think about when you're not too low.. and it will help when you hit the challenges to cope a bit. Everything IS hard for me. but I remember this and I know at the other end, I'll have grown and learned.

@darkness: Yes and the thing is, if everything is easy (speaking of games) are they as much fun for those that have no challenge in beating them? like for me, I may take months to finish a game but hey I got MONTHS of enjoyment over that hardcore gamer that paid $50+ for a game and got 3 days. Another thing to think about

Another version of same idea, but I like it better, attributed to Charlie Chaplin:

"Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself."

(And so, I am a pretty brave person.)

Well No one thinks "here comes another learning experience, yay!" lol. In the midst of challenges I have to force myself to remember to think this way but even then I'm not going "woop woop! learning on the way!"
Thanks for this!
