I was just discharged from the hospital on Friday. They changed my primary diagnosis to major depression with psychosis and secondary to ptsd and bpd. Just wondering if anyone else here has psychosis.

hmm.. my axis 1 was major depressive disorder and General Anxiety Disorder with Affective Disablity likely related to BiPolar, and in axis 2, there was more than enough criteria fillled for borderline. I was also diagnosed by 3 drs wtih add, however that could also have been chronic agitation from mixed states. (so they say)

As for Psychotic, Ive never been admitted though there were a few times I should have been. I'm not quite sure what psychosis feels like, sometimes i think it might just be part of my many panic attacks, or medication changes etc...

It think its pretty interesting that some people have no diagnosis and then so many of us have like multiple. anyhow, sorry for rambling ((hugs))

By psychosis do you mean irrational, disorganized thinking, or seeing/hearing things others don't?

I have had the odd thinking, and I have visual distortions sometimes as a product of severe anxiety, but no hallucinations. Life is way better for me with a low dose of Risperadal.

Funny you should mention it but I have also been on a low dose of Risperidone for a month now and it really helps to keep me calm and rational
