Had Christmas carolers tonight from our church's young men. I felt so bad for them, it is -22*C tonight. They did one song and then left a plate of what looks to be very yummy cookies. I didn't even think to ask them inside while they sang

Don't feel guilty. Your mind was probably elsewhere, and they are fine. That's all that matters. I understand why you do, but we're all human. There's only so much we can do or remember. The important thing is they are safe, and should you be confronted with a similar situation, you won't forget again.

It's okay ... we all make mistakes. The good part is, you didn't do it on purpose. Things like that just makes the rest of us feel more human when we do things of the like.

For what its worth I probably wouldn't have even opened the door, let alone let them in!! Don't feel guilty, they chose to go out and sing

yeah I can understand feeling guilty. I would have too afterward, thought the same way but just keep in mind they probably didn't expect it
