I normally run to someone in my support system when chaos floods my brain and i cannot bear it anymore and need comfort. I'm gonna try this "Self Soothe" thing. Right now i'm trying some music. I have two different soundtracks that can pull me out of just about any mood. they are so random, lol... The Evita Soundtrack (movie version, don't hate! and The Sound of Music (movie version-one of my ALL TIME favorite movies)... So here goes nothing!

the reason i'm in need of strong soothing...
I found this amazing therapist that i really really connected to (she's the first one who ever mentioned BPD to me) but we had a really really intense, highly emotional, out of control session a few months in, so we backed off for a while) i've needed to get back with her therapy but kept putting it off. I finally decided to today. appt was all set up. and then i remembered our insurance had changed. i mentioned it to her...she doesn't take my new insurance. and the way she told me was kinda jacked.

cried for a while at my desk, but gonna try to soothe it out

Oh Longing, how I feel for you. That's pretty awful to go through.

Proud of you for looking to self-soothe. May Evita and Sound of Music get you through to a good place!

And I hope you soon can find an amazing T who does take your insurance

Hope the music helped. Personally I listen to Glee soundtracks so no judgement from me. Right now I have found music to be the most calming but I have tried bubble baths and watching a candle as well.
