Do you ever question peoples motives?
When they show love and care do you think that they are only like this because it's their Job? Or if someone wants to be your friend? I push everyone away who want a relationship with me, I want friends too but I am afraid they might hurt me or when people do hurt me then I find it impossible to get close to anyone again. I am always very wary of people even when they want to talk to me. Is it only me that is like this? I am starting to think that I am weird. |

Well it's because you have been hurt badly in the past. You are not weird, you are looking after yourself. Hey! I'm your friend though aren't I!

I do this all the time. I was praised and called smart buy a lead GI specialist at a top notch hospital yesterday. I found myself questioning the sinsarity and validity of it.

You're not weird in the slightest. If my boyfriend is affectionate with me my first thought is he's making up for something bad he did that I don't know about! I'm like that with everyone, I guess maybe I don't trust ?

Having BPD and autism means that even if i did correctly understand another persons motives, i'm not best placed to respond anyway. I'd rather be alone than deal with the grief of friendships/relationships. I couldn't care a fig if that makes me weird - deeper connections with other people is not my concern.
