Hello. There's nothing wrong with being an adult and watching cartoons and liking them. Personally I don't, but that's just me. Cartoons actually depress me (???) so I avoid them for that reason. But I am very childish in other ways.

Welcome to the site. We're your friends here.

Hi Sorcerer 666.....actually, as I don't know your gender, I would say I dunno if it's a BPD thing but I DO know it's a 'guy' thing! lol Nearly every single man I either went out with or just know in general, loves cartoons....all different kinds. I still remember Saturday mornings, making breakfast as my, now ex H and my kids watched cartoons in the livingroom...tv trays so they wouldn't miss anything and actually the only time they were allowed to eat in there hehe

Not saying women don't like them.....I'll take a Rocky and Bullwinkle rerun any day of the week...oh, and did I mention, I have the full compliment of coffee mugs with Warner Bros cartoons on them...tweetie, sylvester....even marvin the martian!!!

I'm BPD, but I'm also a nerd ...and proud of it

Thanks for the reply. I am female. I have BPD too, among a lot of other mental issues. I think it is just one of my many child-like qualities that is part of BPD. I guess everyone has their own likes - makes sense. I too am a nerd, you could also add creep and freak to that too.

No need for sorry Sorcerer 666, we don't judge here, just come talk when you need to. It's a self-help resource and there is always someone around.

I'm a woman, child like under certain circumstances, I can play and run around with the kids, like the kids... I can identify with the kids, and really LISTEN to the kids, and omg do I love old school cartoons!

But I'm in no way immature being child-like doesn't have to be synonomous with immature and it really doesn't have to be a negative characteristic.

Children are pure, innocents, they're beautiful...

Don't apologize and please don't be so hard on yourself! Life does enough of that, don't join in.

Sorry....

Catwoman ftw.

Anyway, don't worry about it. To put things into perspective, myself and others have seen worse things here than drink-fueled posts I just hope you're ok...and cartoons are awesome. You're far from alone in that interest
