These articles never mention the range from extreme easy to see symptoms to the mild spectrum or the quite borderline.

I do exhibit 1,3,5,6,9 and 3 if you want to count bulimia as form of self harm.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

The "guy" that wrote this article is an idiot and the way that he paraphrased things and re-wrote what is written in the DSM is a sham. Do NOT let him shame you.

This kind of negative slanted propaganda and pop psychology bs does nothing but harm.
What he equates to information is just his crude use of the English language and stereotypes.
If you read what he is quoting as his "source information" is nothing but the DSM chart...he has taken WAY too many liberties...

I'm really sorry...but that sh*te doesn't fly with me.

Muay...you are NOT a horrible person..and we are not monsters or any other stereotypical bs monikers. If others can not understand you and your MI, than to Heck with them... Please don't read garbage like this and let it affect you... You are sweet and smart and hurting and have a wonderfully big heart. I'm sorry you were affected by that bull hockey article.

Gentle and healing hugs,

Wysteria
