I don't know why but I think it's important to recognise our STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES!

I do not intend this to be triggering and I am not in a bad place or a place of low self esteem right now.

I am in a place where I feel it is ok to actually say that:

1. Yes I have BPD
2. Yes I may do or have done, things that have hurt people or made people's lives difficult
3. I am human
4. I am allowed to make mistakes
5. I have mood swings
6. I do things wrong and mess up
7. I sometimes try and control or manipulate people around me because I am scared of losing them
8. I have a bad temper
9. I'm defensive
10. I can be selfish

All of this is OKAY...

I am still a good person because I have a conscience and I feel remorse and guilt and regret and love, embarrassment, joy, humour, happiness and every other emotion associated with humanity.

I seek treatment for my symptoms, i read books on my disorders and try to learn as much as I can to put in place more and more management systems.

The people around me know that things won't always be plain sailing and that i can be difficult to be around sometimes, but they are prepared for that and know I try and limit the damage I cause.

No one is perfect. And you don't have to be...

But I am not and none of you are BAD PEOPLE.

We are GOOD people who can make mistakes, just like everyone else.

widgets I think we all have our list of qualities, conditions and challenges. You are right we are not bad people - we are just trying to be ourselves. and that isn't easy.

We're all just trying to survive in this wretched world- some people just do it better than others.

There are some days that it seems like just surviving. Today in the east mild temps and dry weather made the day delightful. It almost seems like I could be a child again.
It would have been a great day to compose a song on the keyboard, but I had to go to work.
I did play "ON A CLEAR DAY (you can see forever) ... and you'll see who you are."
Love that song. Hope I am not off topic
