I had a really good day yesterday. I communicated well with my wife. I spent 2 hours one-on-one with my son. We went and had hot-chocolate at his favorite place, and watched some Frozen clips. Then we went to the park and played... I got some work done at my shop, then got caught up on my homework... Went out to eat with wife and son... And then came home and mowed the lawn.

I was also able to get closure on a situation at work. I was almost convinced that certain specific people were doing certain specific things just to "get my goat", but because of the way I dealt with it, I was able to take a step back, and just wait.. and because of certain specific circumstance it is now apparent that it was my perception that was skewed, and the people in mind were blameless.

Yesterday me and my family went to a carnival and town show. It was fun the kids enjoyed themselves and we got huge slush puppies. My sis in law spent 3hrs in a queue for a ride only to get turned away cos loads of people pushed in and the staff weren't controlling the queues properly. She and my nephew weren't happy but we cheered them up a little by bringing them both huge slush puppies

what have i done recently to feel normal? yesterday my boyfriend and i spent the day helping some friends move, and then we had subway for lunch. after lunch we returned to the friend's house and we watched some supernatural(<3), it was quite nice. on the way home he surprised me with a shake from sonic. i know that doesn't sound super eventful, but it made me happy, and it made me feel like i was at "home" in my own head.

I sent my bf an "I miss you" ecard instead of picking a fight with him like I've been wanting to for the last 3 days...

Lame I know, but it made me feel somewhat normal, or rather his response did. Idk

Working on my homework. Spent a few hours with a couple with kids my son's age and just talked with them while our kids played.

Today I wrote a cover letter without paying someone to do it for me. It wasn't full of disparaging remarks about myself and actually embellished and highlighted some of my stronger points. I was surprised I was able to write something positive about myself without being sarcastic or trying to manipulate someone.

I also made a fantastic dinner of broiled steak and fried fingerling potatoes this evening.

Went out shopping, got a pedi and something from bath and body. Nothing makes me feel more normal than doing girlie things for myself.

Also, had a DnD game night out and I didn't lose it on someone Go me.

I watched the World Cup final with my family, went shopping, and successfully censored my speech in order to avoid conflict.

Helped others, and myself in the process. I'm in no position of doing anything else than that.

IKR!?

And there were people who were just begging for it too. Isn't that strange liking people and then wanting to 180 on them?

I'm discussing what I'm learning in my ethics class with a professor who teaches philosophy at a local college.

Went shopping after work yesterday and picked out posh healthy food that I'm now not sure how to cook!! Planning a trip to garden centre this evening to get some plant food for our tomato plant and a bigger pot for the Sunflower. I feel normal when I'm doing day to day stuff like that....rather than getting hysterical and catastrophising!!

Talk about coincidences - I'm starting to swim again today, having applied to a swimming school. However, even though I'm rusty, I swam for 12 years of my life - the teacher might be taught a thing or two....

Had a good time interacting with my son this morning. We're working on getting him to dress himself consistently. Sometimes, his mom and I get lazy and dress him ourselves.

Anyway, I enjoyed our interactions this morning and driving him to daycare.
Thanks for this!
