I have been on a downward slope for awhile with rare good days. My employer gave me the option of being fired or taking a leave of absence to put myself back together. I obviously choose option 2. my first day of leave has been the best day I have had in months. I didn't lay in bed for hours and I had good quality time with both of my kids. I did stumble and SH, but tomorrow is a new day. Why couldn't I feel this good yesterday. Maybe I feel better bc I am free of the stress of work.

That's certainly possible. Maybe it would be a good idea to look for another line of work.
