I don't really think so...it is triggering something inside of you. a feeling of injustice, unfairness just to name a few. were you bullies? any number of things. it brings up a lot of difficult feelings for you. this is probably what is upsetting you. it is ok to feel for others. take care.

I don't know, i am watching it and I kind of feel he is in the wrong. He is very rude and inconsiderate. He seems to have issues so maybe it is wrong that he is in there, still I don't think all of his behaviour should be excused.

I would have to say yes. Not even Disney movies are safe for me anymore.

Whatever you are watching hits a chord within you... it may be different than what hurts other people but that's part of why our pathologies are so different as borderlines.

I don't don't think that's overreacting at all, I get plenty of those sensations, not only from watching TV, but reading something too. I not saying this is 100% true or the answer, but sometimes I think the reason we feel that is maybe from past emotional abuse or bullying we may have experienced ourselves at one point. It maybe just simple empathy for the unfortunate or emotional traumatic sufferers. It's human for us to feel emotional connection for each other and when something stirs up we feel for it. We want to stand up for those we feel need help.

Programmes centered on reality usually are provocative and occasionally triggering. You're watching highly strung people in a very unnatural environment. I don't agree with shows like Big Brother - i think they're exploitative. Stick with shows that are more ethically sound and less emotionally demanding.
