I recently watched a video on YouTube that discussed different kinds of borderline people. I just want to share this video because I think it is very helpful to me and hopefully for others who are both seeking more detail and narrowing down the answers to their disorder.

After the video, if you'd like to share your opinion on it or tell what kind type you are possibly, are welcome as well to this post. Hope this helps for people because it has for me.

Hi. Ive just watched it and im really glad i did. Its given me more of an understanding of my self. The inward distructive quiet borderline describes me and my behaviour. Makes me feel a little sad as well.

I'm not able to watch the video but i can give my own opinion on my worst symptoms? My main issues are with impulsiveness and recklessness - it's lead to addiction an eating disorder and debt.

I think when I am around people I know I can become the classic borderline. However, when at work or school, I am the quiet borderline. I think few people know how much I really struggle with my borderline tendencies.

I think this is somewhat faulty hypothesizing here... as with Millon's four subtypes, two different types of borderlines is narrow in its attempt to isolate a diagnosis. I do agree with the author that there may be much more to borderline personality disorder than we currently include in the diagnostic criteria.

Pathologies are many and varied, it makes sense some may more commonly go together than others, but trying to make categories is just not feasible with all of the variables. Think about a teenager who deals with problems... do they all act the same and are there only two different types?

I agree there are different ways of coping that some may either 'act out' or 'act in', but they aren't mutually exclusive. I shared traits from both of the 'acting out' and 'acting in' categories the author presented, as well as interchangeably for the same scenarios given.

I am persuaded more by the high functioning versus low functioning model as being the closest we can get until we truly understand what causes borderline personality disorder at its neurological component.

I would be too. I wish to have a never ending dream where I can never come back to reality from.

I'd say the quite borderline type describes me. Interesting video. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the video.

Even though a psychiatrist has classified me as a classic BPD, I'm a quiet one.
