I don't know if it's common in BPD's to have alters, but mine constantly wants to come out and speak for them-self. They're almost tempted at times to make another account and act as themselves through there, but I won't let them. It's been an on and off type of thing too, at times I feel their urge and sometimes I don't. Today I feel a strong tug from them because they want to go somewhere and do what they normally do on the computer at the library, but I'm nervous for them at the same time.
I want to them to be out at times, but I'm keeping them back. I don't want to do that because I can feel the anxiety and distress from not letting them do as they want. This happens every one or twice a week, since they decided to keep a schedule on how many times they come out, but there are other times they will take control and get out of hand.
