I was diagnosed with bpd in 2001, but was never told what it is. I'm just now learning about it. Right now my biggest trigger is my ex husband gf who lives with us. Yes, I am living iin a complicated and unique situation.

well that certainly sounds like a difficult situation. it would be good to educate yourself as much as you can on bpd. a good therapy for it is dbt. is has been proven to be very successful. take care.

Thanks. I've already ordered several books on eBay. So far I have new hope for bpd book and bpd for dummies. I also got a dbt workbook that I will take with me to my counselor appt. Also have a few more books coming. My ex knows me best and I want him on my support team. He's known me for about 30 yrs.
Thanks. 😃

Hi silentangel

That's a very tricky situation you're living in. Not sure how you do it so hats off to you.

I'm glad you're finding out more info about bpd - it will help you in the long run.

We are always here to support you and listen.

Take care.

I'm halfway through bpd for dummies.

It's a good read.

Just haven't had time to get further into it though.
Thanks for this!

It is a good read but I'm having problems staying focused with it, and I share it with my ex, so it's taking a lil longer to read.

I started reading "The Angry Heart"... I'd recommend it from what I've read so far.

(I'm pretty sure that "back then" there were even more "wrong diagnoses" that were more about the diagnoser than the person needing help )
