I am not sure if this relates to BPD or whether it is to do with something else, but I thought I would just ask.
I find that I have two worlds that I go between. I suppose you could say that one is good and one is bad. The thing is though, all the people are the same in both worlds they just have different roles. I get so caught up in this other world though that I spent hours in it and when I come out I realize I have wasted so much time. It is also hard to distinguish what interactions and conversations I had in which world- I can get them all confused and go to talk to someone about something that didn't happen here it was in the other world. It makes me sad though when I realize what I think is real is in fact not real. Does anyone relate to this or had a similar experience? |

Hi Teddy
![]() When I first joined the site, I spent a bit of time wondering if I had BPD. I do know that I have an abusive background and BPD seemed to fit me. I am now not so sure. I do not remember a lot of my past so in a way I too seem to lose periods of time. I am not sure if this is the same thing you are talking about but I think I have periods of dissociation. I hope this helps in some way. ![]() |

Hi Teddy,
To me, in a non medical opinion of course, there seems to be an influencing degree of disassociation. I guess this can link to a few disorders. Have you had this discussion with a mental health team? |
