I just want to make it really really clear that this is not a suicide post, I just have a question.
So, when I'm depressed, writing suicide notes and thinking of how I'd do it makes me feel better...am I the only one?
And if thinking like this is a problem, tips on how to stop?

No, HereGoesNothin, you're certainly not the only one. If you took a poll, here on PC, I would bet you'd find that most of us who have suicidal ideation think about the ways in which we might do it. I certainly do (& I've followed through in the past- unsuccessfully obviously!)

Interestingly, a while back, a follower submitted this question, on YouTube, to California therapist: Kati Morton. Kati responded that it is not a problem so long as you're not actually following through with making arrangements to make an attempt. Here is a link to that video:

I see planning my suicide as a great relief. It actually takes the pain away cuz I see the end of the tunnel close and my suffering will be over soon. It is a great relief.

As long as you don't gather the tools...the compulsion can become so strong sometimes.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking like this. Sometimes it's so easy to forget that there are others like me out there

Hey, you're certainly not alone, bud. A lot of us here do this.

I, personally, have been planning my end for about 18 years straight. I've tried twice. Only saying this to prove that you're not alone.

If you want to stop thinking about this, the only way to do so is to find a purpose in life - something you find worth staying on this s**thole for.

It makes me peaceful.

I really don't know how else to describe it.
