I was interested in all of your experiences with BPD and the effectiveness of therapy/ medication as a treatment and if it actually helps in addressing the symptoms of BPD. I've had bad experiences with therapists that simply want me to start a round of medications or hospitalization right at the start - which i have 0 interest in pursuing.

Another question, does anybody really get over BPD or is the 'success' of the therapy/ medications simply the ability to control your thoughts when your emotions begin to cycle?

Thanks for your help.

I believe in the old quote "it's the relationship that heals" - a good therapist can certainly help with this and most other mental health issues
