?

ive tried so many ... they switched me around again to saphris this time and i dunno about this one either... kind of thinking i want to go back on the abilify... but my mood is ok for the moment its just seems like medication doesnt really do anything... i can be triggered into hell no matter what im taking

but the gabapentin did seem to pull me out of the hole when i finally got them refilled the other day ... anyone else like gabapentin...?

im scared to get triggered again... i dont want to feel like that anymore... it hurts so bad ... but i feel like im on a hair trigger and scared that something is going to trigger me again soon because im just going through so much right now i dont want to feel like that no more..

it sucks so bad..

I was on gabapentin for years for depression and did like it. Now I'm on Cymbalta and Abilify and I like this combo even better.

I was on meds for 10 years but stopped taking them about 6 months ago. I used to take venlafaxine, citalopram, pregabalin and a depot (clopixol)

I've been on lamictal for 1 and a half years and I haven't noticed much difference in mood.

I don't wanna know what I'd be like off of it though, because my life did get a lot worse after taking it.

I also take ativan for anxiety when needed and that does help.

My list is in my signature. I've been doing okay on this batch. I take gabapentin and Vistaril for anxiety. It helps quite a bit.

My T doesn't think I should take meds and my GP doesn't give me anything anymore and told me to see a psychiatrist, but I haven't so lately I use all kinds of stuff from alcohol to non presription meds, and various unhealthy combinations to self-medicate...

I am currently on a very low dose of seroquel (quetiapine) for sleep. I would have nightmares and panic in the middle of the night - intrusive memories etc. This helped regulate my sleep which helps to regulate my mood; but the traumas will not simply go away.

Currently planning to lower dose and replace the need for medication with healthier alternatives such as exercise, diet, therapy, etc.

Hoping I meet a therapist who isn't unethical.

Thanks,
HD7970ghz

Well I have a proper disorder and when I tried a new med just other month I expected to be weaned off my main one so no medication and I am dependent on my medication like it is a physical condition. Depression may be different but I am schizoaffective(I would argue I am bi-polar type one) but anyway, I cannot sleep a wink without my meds. I would slip into a coma through lack of sleep. This is not me exaggerating, this is real. My mind has the inability to slip into sleep or switch off so without my schizo meds I would die

Certainly everyone is different. You do what you gotta do and do not be ashamed. I respect those who have chemical imbalances and take their medications despite all the stigma. Medications can do wonders for some people. Count yourself blessed if you can take a pill and feel even a little better.

Thanks,

I take Lexapro, Rexulti, and vitamin D3. I started a higher dose of Lexapro recently and one of the side effects is light sensitivity - makes driving in the morning interesting. XD
But yeah, I've noticed in the Depression forum and in life that there are some people that think people shouldn't take meds. It's ridiculous because while they don't work for everyone, they do work for some. Me especially.

I sound like a vampire lol, I would never sleep in my natural state. I used to be ashamed of having to take medication because I had took such care of my body before I went all self destructive. I was a semi-pro athlete. I hated that I wasn't perfectly healthy anymore. Nobody in my family had anything. My mum needed high blood pressure tablets but nobody else. Knowing I would need them my whole life was a huge blow, to my ego
