He wrote he was 'worried about me and his other friends caught in a natural disaster'. I wrote 'it means so much to me you are worried about me'.
All I could see was he said something the slightest bit caring toward me, which he never does. I kneejerked back a quick response, glowing, even saying 'love you too!' Then I realized he wasn't being caring toward me individually, it was merely an expression. IDK, it felt so good for a moment. And now that I know it's BPD, I feel calmly secure in knowing I have only loved him from afar. And if he loved me, I'd turn off. yes, it's an inappropriate contact But, that's all part of the disorder, right? So gimme a pass. ![]()

If he loved me, I'd turn off - I think I used to be like this (sometimes) a long time ago but am not now. ![]() Now I'm wondering if I had BPD at a much younger age but not now... but this isn't my thread. Thanks for this thread and for making me think ![]()

Eh, I managed to become platonic friends with the object of my obsessive unrequited love. I'll take that as a healthy resolution. Neither of us ever did the other any harm.
