My parents are seperated but they have both asked me if I want to go live in supported living .

I guess they know I'm not coping well . my dad has recently become my carer . he cleans my flat and helps me get to appointments . I gave him my bank card to help manage my money but that did not work out well . I still had my card details in my phone and was still able to spend on impulse . so he got annoyed and gave me my card back .

Anyway they have both suggested I go live in supported living . the thought of that scares me and I don't want to give up my flat so I said no .

But maybe I should consider it but I don't think I want to .

Has anyone lived in supported living ? If so what are the good and bad points ?

Hi, coti! Since the last time I saw you, I've been moved to a nursing home. Is supportive living the same thing as assisted living? I wish this hadn't happened but it's supposedly only temporary. But I've been here 4 months now.
Thanks for this!

Yes I think its the same thing . how are you finding it ? I would maybe consider it if it was tempary and i could come back to my flat afterwards . im afraid though of the other people there . they may not like me or they could be mean . how are you finding it there ?

It's sort of hard, because it's a crowded place. They allow vaping on the smoke breaks, at least, and there's a gym for physical therapy. Food is so-so. Most of the people are civil, unless you're me on my birthday.

They aren't mean but people can clash. Mostly they're wrapped up in themselves.

I don't know if they will let you go home, though. They might try to transfer you, but sending you home is more of a decision for them. I'd much rather still be in my apartment. I hope everything will go well for you.

I see you are back in the BPD forum. I have been curious and waited til now to ask - "why do you think I am a stalker I was trying to give you support". Just want to know your thought process. What actions did I take that you came up with that answer. Thanks just trying to get some insight here. 🤔☹️

If you are able to do it voluntarily it is much easier and safer. You still have control over how long you need to stay. You might just need a really good rest and relaxation. It might give you some time to breathe.
Thanks for this!

I never really felt the support; you said before you were following my issues so that it wouldn't happen to you. I can understand feeling that way, but it's quite different than support. Plus, the endless questions felt to me like interrogation. I think it may be due to your writing style.
