Usually I’ll get a new regimen and at first it’s pretty hopeful, then it falls flat and I have an episode. My doc went ahead and prescribed Haldol and Lamictal. So far I am sooooo much calmer and overall the racing thoughts has also gotten better. I haven’t slept though but maybe for 3hrs in the past 2 days, at night I seem to get restless and start checking outside paranoid or pacing around just to move, Idk. I am on a starting dose so hopefully that’ll work itself out.

Hello airbornemedic: I believe this was your first post here on PC. (I see you also have a subsequent post in the new members introductions forum.) Anyway... I just thought I'd leave a quick reply here to say welcome to Psych Central. I hope you're finding PC to be of benefit.

Hi welcome airbornemedic82. I hope you find the forum helpful. What did the doctor dx you with? Haldol is pretty heavy duty.
I hope your new regimen works well for you. __________________ Once you are real, you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always.... |

BPD, Bipolar, C-PTSD; the symptoms are lovely. I have a problem where I go to the doc and I almost put on a character to sound smart and knowledgeable, I also forget to tell him the smaller problems I deal with; then I go home and peek out the windows constantly(example) and somehow forget to mention lol. I believe I am Schizophrenic along with everything else I do or believe or say. |

CPTSD is enough to deal with without all the rest. I hope you get the help you need.

I’ve avoided therapy because the idea of talking about it(Afghanistan)in the past (2014ish) seemed to always keep it fresh, that’s when I was really losing a grip on reality, thinking I was back over there type of stuff. Plus I’m just very to myself these days, I’d also feel vulnerable because I’d think they’d be conspiring against me. |

Welcome to the forum. I hope that this regimen works for you, you’ve got a lot to deal with. I feel the same way about forgetting to tell my psychiatrist about the day to day things. He’s so busy and I feel like he’s just in a rush to push my meds and get me on my way.
