I feel so often that I have to fit myself into a neat little box just to feel safe and comfortable with myself. If I’m not in this box I feel chaotic and ungrounded. I had been using personality disorder for years to find myself in a box, but it turns out I can’t be consistent on that. And I’m untypable in the MBTI. So I did the best thing for me and I left the community altogether and decided that I’m too different and uncommon fo be typed, and that’s okay. For some reason, this whole time I thought trying to be in a box would make me feel better about myself, but in reality setting the box on fire and watching it burn feels so much better

Welcome to pc, FriendlyGothLady
![]() I hope you find it helpful here ![]() ![]() I recently logged in, probably for the last time, on another forum I didn't much like (it was very quiet) ... I think I feel freer now I have disappeared, I did not bother saying farewell to anyone. Those who liked me might miss me a bit. It was not a healthy place imho. A few of my friends also visited there, they feel the same way about it.. ![]()

Hi FriendlyGothLady! I completely agree! I wasted years studying personality theory trying to figure myself out, trying to fit myself into those boxes and it didn't help one bit! I do feel a little lost without those boxes though... but maybe with time (and treatment) we will all become our own people
