Took a long break from work to try and decompress and get things in perspective. The guilt and all pervasive self hatred was back within the first two hours with added anxiety over what might have happened while I was away. It never seems to end.

Would a change of job help at this stage or is it just another evasion?

I had to take some time off work too, as the work atmosphere was very toxic and not worth my losing my sanity.. I’m now actively putting my applications into different kinds of you that I’ve not done before? We’ll see! I hope all works out for you!!!

I think it depends on how much of it is the job vs. how much of it is health. I change jobs ALOT I'm 34 and I've had about 40 jobs in my life but I think it's more to do with me not handling life too well and less about the actual job. I feel like the majority of work environments are toxic these days it's become fairly normal for everyone to be mean to each other but I'm extremely sensitive so it's harder to put up with.

In my case, I think it's mostly evasion when I leave jobs but that doesn't mean you should stay in a very toxic workplace I just think all places feel toxic it's just like what level of toxic/ stress do you feel is okay to deal with. Hope that makes sense my words are weird today.

I felt like self hatred was in full force today. I'm sorry you're suffering. I know what you mean. Sometimes it just doesn't let up especially if you feel like you're more reactive than you intend to be.

I also think it's become fairly ''normal'' for everyone to be mean to each other, and that is obviously harder to put up with if sensitive...

Just a thought (maybe this isn't new to you)

''It's no measure of health to be ''well adjusted'' to a profoundly sick society''
