BPD is actually curable. You're not a bad person. It takes some hard work and DBT. If you can't find a DBT therapist or group near you (and it sounds like the professionals in your area are a piece of shyt), you can buy a workbook and go through it yourself.
And just because something is normal doesn't mean it is healthy. __________________ If any chord that I could strum Make me feel less like a man I'd slam my fingers in the doorway And shatter all the bones So I could never strum again |

There is a huge stigma against BPD even amongst professionals. Screw 'em.

This is a public peer support forum. Even if people are professionals in a mental health field, they aren’t on this forum to diagnose or make conclusions. That’s not what this forum is about. There’s also ignore feature. If people don’t want to see someone’s posts because they think someone is a pain, they could put people on ignore. Or they could simply not read.

It says consult a mental health professional or a doctor before trying anything you read on here. It also says this site isn’t a substitute for actual mental health treatment. Mental health professionals could post on here in a peer support capacity. Not to diagnose or treat anyone

I really wish you wouldn't say such horrible things about yourself willowtigger. You can't see the good in you. Others can. But we can't make you see it. It has to come from you. Try believing that you are a person worthy of care and love. Just because you might not have had that before doesn't mean it is your fault. It is painful to read you beating yourself up like that. Try seeing yourself from a different lense. Wipe this lense off. It is lying to you. HUG Kit

it is true though that if someone was to offer you a bar of chocolate in one hand and a dog poo bag full of poo with the other hand, you'd take the bar of chocolate, Kit

That doesn't make you a bag of dog poo. I wouldn't be corresponding with you as much as I do if I thought such terrible things about you. But I don't. I think you are a lovely person. But I can't help feeling pain sometimes when I read your words about yourself. I wish I could give you my eyes so you could see yourself how I see you. Valued. Worthy. Kind (to others) and lovely.

The students in psychology thing - if they come onto the rest of the forum, what are they going to be doing to us?
