So i came across PC out of coincidence and was relieved to see that there was a forum for BPD. I've been recently diagnosed and have been struggling to find support from people who truly understand the nature of having BPD and i am happy that i have found a place to connect with others who are just trying to cope with the same issues.

Thank-you for the borderline forum I don't understand why people in my hometown mock me all the time They mock my personality and what I say. Any kind of relationship is hard for me. I sometimes feel like there is no hope or giving up. I don't feel safe going to the hospital or mental health because the professionals mock me as well. I would rather be dead than go to the hospital for help. Are people treating me badly because they think I have narcisstic personality disorder or do they just not understand me so well. I don't know what to do I am so confused with life and the world right now.

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and to BPD. I've known my whole life that something was really off with me, and my childhood did not help anything. I just got my diagnosis and am very happy to have it so I can move forward.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here...that is, if I remember to keep coming back! I am very forgetful.

Hello, I have been visiting this forum for a few days before I decided to join. I have not been diagnosed yet but certain circumstances led me to the realization that I may have some serious mental health issues. After taking some online tests for Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality Disorder my test results came back as having severe BPD. This was just a few weeks ago and I have not been able to see anyone and get a proper diagnosis yet but I will, as even through all of this craziness I do believe that I still have a lot to live for and I want to be as healthy as possible while I do it.

I have been here a bit. This is my first time actually posting. I was diagnosed 25 yrs ago with possible BPD. I was 19 and in the military as a cop. The dr told me you have possible Borderline personality disorder. I said how do I fix that. He and I quote said "Suck it up and deal with your personal problems!". So I being 19, new to the military, being scared of being kicked out cuz I had just tried to kill myself, and not really understanding; I did what I thought was sucking it up and dealing with it!!
My new recent psych says I have Axis I:bipolar disorder, mixed mania and ____ (something else discriptive of episodes), Axis II:rule out borderline personality disorder, Axis III:see list Axis IV:nothing, Axis V:my meds, strengths, and dosages. What does this really mean!??! I know the III, IV, and V. And I think he is saying he thinks I have bipolar with possible BPD. Which is totally different than last psychiatrist. Last one said maniac depression, anxiety, DMDD, and C-PTSD. So I am very confused now!!Is there really that much of a difference or should I be concerned with it??

I must ask my T about any symptoms other than the high dramatic episodes and monastic retreats over and over and over. Like I try to live in the world, but would have liked to, in another age, lived in a monastery and study. Seriously, though, I think the BPD is the tip of the iceberg for adjustment anxiety. I understand my personality, I just basically can't stand people I meet here, but that's another story....."stuck inside of nowhere, seeing no one nice at all.....". I am getting stronger to visit my family in CA again soon. I feel that for the BPD sufferer, there is always a struggle going on and I think it is about authenticity and/or unexpressed artistic ability like writer's block.

Hi Rochelle...that is a lot to cope with and being in the military. Are the new psych doc's prescriptions having positive effects? It seems you are ahead to get this info now so you can face the issues. Good luck. (What is DMDD?)

I would be concerned, not with the differences, but with how these disorders interfere with daily life, happiness and functioning. P.S. I've been with one T for about 6 years now and the journey never ends. I set goals to improve, like relationships, better communication, and social involvement.

I am new to this. I was diagnosed with BiPolar back in 2005. However, reading about BiPolar and BPD, I think I might have BPD. Anyway, I am glad to have found this in my search for answers.

I'm new to this forum and posting in forums all together, I was only diagnosed with BPD a few months ago so everything is kind of up in the air and I feel like I'm floating and I'm stuck and I can't do anything to change my circumstances.but I have many other acronyms GAD, MDD,CPTSD,BPD and panic attacks. I'm having the (imagined)"biggest" problem due to my Bestie who has pretty much dumped me for a new boyfriend (who has been our friend for 12 years) so I hate that she doesn't even check in on me to see if im ok anymore (im a self harm kinda girl ) I love her!!! (honestly), I think about her constantly and the thought that she can't even give me a call so see if I'm OK it's hurting so much because I recently had to get rid of a whole bunch of "toxic" "friends" ohhhhh what open eyes can show you! but now I'm terrified of loosing her or pushing her away! my feelings are crazy and all over the place sorry.

Hello out there. I have been bulimic since 13, and was finally diagnosed with BPD in August. I'm 48 and have been suffering from this all my life, as I keep learning more and more about this condition. It makes so much since now. Its freaky at some times, that's for sure. Has me questioning who my real self is. I'm sure you all can understand
I'm slowly making my way thru DBT and individual therapy...anyone else ?

HI!
Am new to all of this and duno how to post proper haha.
Well, i havent been formally diagnosed with BPD as of yet, but i do feel everything BPD had applies to how i have felt for years. severe moods, anxiety of abandonment, reckless behaviour and the ability to pick words apart and find negative meanings. the worst feeling is the incredible lonliness i feel. i feel i have no friends, though i do have some they are settled and i never see them, i hav a boyfriend but he has friends and is embarrassed to let me see his friends again as i made such a scene last time due to social phobia i seem to have. i could really need some help here xxx

Hello, new here, have BPD, Major depression, and Anxiety D/O. Need support and help from others that have the same disorders. It is not easy to have supportive friends when they do not understand my illness. Any advice for me would help. Thank you

Greetings to all borderlines. I was diagnosed with BPD, major depressive disorder, and general anxiety disorder back in 2010. Slowly but surely I am getting better... one day at a time.

I could really relate to what you posted. I'm new to this site. I went thru DBT for three years and it really changed my whole life. I still have the daily struggles but it's much better than it used to be. Who am I really? I too question who my real self is. If you have any questions about DBT maybe I could help! I love to help others esp peeps who struggle with the same things as me. Apart from bpd I also have bipolar 2, anxiety and ptsd. I'm sorry you've had to struggle with bulimia. That's got to be hard.

I can relate to yr diagnoses. I too have bpd and I struggle with bipolar 2, anxiety and ptsd. I was also diagnosed in 2010 just like you. I can only live one day at a time. I'm also a member of aa and have been clean since 2013.
