Half an hour since my last binge/purge, I found it scary because I was choking on my vomit and my nose was blocked up and I peed in my under wear a little bit.I need a detox and no more takeaway food!! I got afaird so I stopped,.

This is my 3rd day after nearly a year and a half of daily / multiple times daily. I am hoping my change of bipolar meds 3 weeks ago is the difference. This one is supposed to make less weight gain / cravings.

Well, it's been 5 days now. So strange... the first time I was about to binge, and I had this thought, "I can walk away." I don't know where the thought came from, but it was a total release from the urge! So I did it. That began this change. Today I overate a little but didn't want to purge. Then I made a huge baked potato, knowing if I ate that one more thing, I would have to purge it, and might not stop eating tonight. I put it on a plate, and went into the next room. I left the light on. It sat there on the plate, smelling wonderful. I didn't have the uncontrollable urge. Just a small desire. "I have a choice," was the thought I had. I put the potato in the fridge for tomorrow. I got a water. Hopefully I will be good the rest of the night.

Well, slid back a little. Ate way too many dried fruit and had to purge it because of the calories. But I still feel like I'm doing better. I didn't really feel the urge to binge, just had it handy and kept eating it mindlessly. I didn't purge my meals, and didn't freak out. I'm still glad I made it to day 5, and will do it again. Day 1 again tomorrow.

Sailing through day 4. I miss binging. But I'm not having the urge to binge. When I think about food, there is fear, and tension, but the thoughts are not obsessive. This new understanding that restrictive thoughts lead to the binges is eye opening. "Riding the waves" of the cravings. I'm still scared of food. Scared, and also, like I've lost a loved one. But, I'm doing it.

Day 5. Ate too many pretzels. But it's not a binge. I'm afraid though, the time of day is earlier than I usually start binging. If I eat again, will I open the floodgates and b/p? Looking at a lot of hours ahead. But I have extra motivation - my Med appointment is tomorrow morning and he will ask me about b/p.

Day 7. I still worry about how much I'm eating, compared to how much I sit, but I've not purged. And the amount I eat isn't binging. So, I'm doing good even though I'm still scared - of food, of weight gain. So far, I haven't gained weight though. Just maintaining, which is what healthy people would do I think. I will worry about losing weight when I am not afraid of food anymore. No restricting though, that's what caused the problem in the first place.

Made it through day 8 this time. Messed up today, because I've been shoveling snow without eating for hours. 6 times. We've got 10 inches so far with about 7 more hours of snow. I'm in pain, and feeling sorry for myself. So I ate a bunch of pretzels. I suppose I didn't have to purge them, but I did. I wasn't in the mood to binge either. just started eating them while taking a break and didn't stop. They say we're supposed to eat mindfully, and not be distracted. But I was watching a show, and just kept eating. I am pleased with how well I'm doing overall though. It's a process.
