Look up Kay Redfield Jamison. She has been very successful as a psychologist although she is bipolar. There are a lot of us who manage to become therapists even with our own issues. The key is to get your own problems under control first so that you will be able to help others effectively.

A bipolar therapist's blog: http://ruthzdeming.blogspot.com/

I'm sure if I were bipolar I'd want a bipolar therapist?
