Women Survivors of Assault

This new chat will be on Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm (EST)

Purpose: Women Survivors of Assault chat will be a place to learn how to gain strength and survival skills after an assault. It will be a safe place to discuss the special needs of women that have survived assault or rape. It can be recently or from many years ago.

Design: Each new group will have a separate topic to focus on. These topics are needs for women with assault or rape incidents. It is not a place to just share a story, but a place to learn and grow. It may stretch your thinking and hopefully help you reach some goals to renewal and strength.

Format: This group will be open for women in need of this group for two weeks. Then we will continue with our members in a closed group that has a password. The group will be only those people for six weeks and then open back up for new members. A password group allows the group to be supportive and safe so it is more comfortable to share. If you want to come please make it by the first two weeks so you can get the password from me. I will only give it to the ones that come to group the first two weeks.

The first sessions are about boundaries.

Facilitator: Many people know me as Falling Star. I prefer to be called Star. I have been working with people dealing with this type issue for twenty years. Although my primary job is not counseling, I do use what I have learned from my volunteer work with rape crisis, research on many related issues and my own experiences to help others.
