Hi folks,

Just a reminder that our chat rooms are an extension of our community here at Psych Central. That means all community guidelines apply -- even to member-created rooms (although all topics that don't violate our terms of service are okay in such rooms).

This means you must respect all moderator or administrative directives while in a chatroom. Failure to do so will likely result in your chat privileges being completely suspended for a few days, because we have zero tolerance for failing to listen and take heed.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Remember to be respectful of other members while in chat, and report inappropriate chatroom behavior to any moderator or administrator -- with the chatroom name, date and time of incident. We will investigate the problem from there.

Also, just to be clear, no member is allowed to kick or ban a member of the community support team from their member-created room. Do it once and your chat privileges will be suspended.

Thanks,
DocJohn
