I just wanted to offer this thread as a chance for people to post in here thweir Christmas related feelings/ worries, and other people support them through it

Christmas for people like us (without family), can be a very, very lonely time- not sure about anyone else, I know for me I have no one else to celebrate Christmas with, and I'll be on my own for the whole season

though I hate my family- and what they did to me, I know cristmas should be a family time and I do often wish my family were different and can spend the holidays with me

but they can't.. and their is nothing I can do about that. they continue to choose abuse over trying to love

Thanks for this!

That is beyond sad.. people who continue to choose abuse over trying to love, especially when they are family. I send love to all survivors of neglect. I’m one of those survivors

What a beautiful idea. Another thing to do if you're going to spend the holidays alone is maybe try and find some volunteering work you could do? There's usually a lot around christmas. It may help you feel less alone and helping others is always a great feeling.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
