Bad Day Check List

1). Have you been eating healthy?

What have you been feeding yourself lately?

Are you hungry right now?

Could you make yourself some food?

2). Are you hydrated?
Do you need some water or juice?

3). Have you been sleeping enough lately?
Do you need to lay down right now and take a nap?

4). Do you need to shower?
Would a change of clothes help?

5). Are your surroundings neat and tidy?
Could you tidy up your room a bit?

6). Have you been in nature recently?
Have you gotten some sunshine?
Could you take some vitamin D right now?

7). Have you moved your body?
Do you need to go for a walk?
Or go for a run?
Would working out help?

8). Have you spoken to someone who can help you work out your thoughts and feelings?
Is there someone in your life that you can open up to and be vulnerable with?

9). Do you need peace and quiet?
Would meditation help?
Or would listening to music help?

10). Do you need to cry?

Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]

Breaking Intergenerational Trauma Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]*🩹

Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]REPOST Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]@the.conscious.pathway
“A lot of us grew up in families or environments where appreciation and compliments are suppressed. Their importance is often downplayed, or even frowned upon and seen as patronizing to a degree that giving or receiving appreciation can feel uncomfortable.

As receivers of compliments we might shrug it off immediately or even question someone’s intentions for giving a compliment. As givers of compliments, we often hold back from voicing our appreciation because we think it will not be well received.

Unfortunately, it robs us of so many opportunities to withhold our appreciations from our loved ones. Appreciation is such a powerful tool to bond with someone. Giving authentically vulnerable and genuine compliments shows our partners how much we value and honor them for how they show up for us. It is an opportunity to heal and feel seen by our partners if we learn to truly let a compliment sink in.

Breathing the appreciation into our bodies and putting our hands to our heart before we say thank you, lets us truly take in the healing power of compliments.”

I started bullet journaling in 2020/2021

I’ve decided since I have used a planner for many years.

I will use my bullet journal for trauma healing. Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]*🩹

Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]

I Agree but…Grace Doesn’t Need to be Used to Excuse or Continue Intergenerational Trauma.

•Growing Up Many of My Immediate Family Members Would Do or Say Something Harmful Etc..

•They Would Never Apologize to Each Other. My Mama and Siblings Still Do This.

•They Go Months Without Speaking. Then Act like Nothing Happened and Start Speaking but Nothing is Ever Resolved.

•Just like Any Relationship, Once Another Situation Happens, Each of Them are Arguing about Old **** and the New Situation.

•My Dad’s Side is Exactly the Same, Except They Go YEARS Without Speaking.

•This is a Toxic Pattern of Functioning in Dysfunction and It’s Exhausting.

•If I Did/Said Something, I Will Apologize Even If We Decided to Desolve Our Friendship, Relationship Etc.

•Sometimes Relationships, Interacting Needs to End or You Feed ‘Em with a Long Handled Spoon.

•The Hurt can be so Deep, Painful or Traumatic. People Don’t Have to “Forgive and Continue” the Relationship…Including Relationships with Family Members. Forgiveness is Not Required for Healing.

•People Can Choose to Solely Focus on Healing Childhood Emotional Neglect [CEN]*🩹 the Hurt, Pain, Trauma and PTSD.
