playing with my bath toys

a little boat with people, which sailed from one end of the tub to the other

and also my rubber ducky.

I also really liked it when the water went down the drain, and I put my little feet on the bottom of the tub and kept repeating the water's gonee, until someone came in with a fluffy towel

I don't know why I'm even posting this, but it's something I particuarly miss, so..

We should turn this into a “things you miss from childhood” and a “things you wish you had in childhood” thread!

I miss watching one of those colored disco ball lights go around and around with my grandma in her basement.

Me mudder sometimes making my sis and I toast and tea before bed. Served on a tray on the couch while we were in our jammies. 4 or 5 yrs old or so I think. Not so much the scenario but the feeling somehow of security. Those early years I think were pretty good.

At this time of year I’m remembering how exciting and wonderful Christmas felt to me as a child. I kind of recaptured that with my own son, magical through his eyes. To me now Christmas is about remembering those times.

Christmas was a magical time that meant getting dressed up and going to cousins houses for a scream fest, yes in all our nice clothes we’d put on snowsuits and run around outside until called in for the big meal. It meant getting dressed up and going to church in candlelight. Really gifts were the least of it.

What I miss most from childhood is getting up and riding off on my pony with my dog for the whole day. We had a magic kingdom we made.

Home+brewed wine my late grandpa would make. I have never tasted a better wine, ever. I wish I knew how to brew it at home.
