I don't know what is going on! I have new back pain that is lower than the L5 S1 disk. it goes straight across into both hips. just the side to side movement of walking is killing me! is it progression of my injury? I dunno but this hurts!

Could "just" be new bones out of place... you doing your stretching exercises? Holding in your tummy, keeping pelvic tilt? It could be you're internalizing the external stress too. It happens. See if you can note when the pain flares, and what you just thought or had to do...

it was happening when I got out of bed mostly. I can't lift my handbag right now though without the pain.

Bebop, sounds like it might be a bedding issue. Maybe use more (or less) pillows, or add soft or firmness to the mattress ... or sleep on a different one to see? Do you feel rested when you wake?
