I hurt myself. I mean it hurts. I was sitting in the chair yesterday and my shoulder got stiff so I put it behind my head and gently pulled it by my wrist with my other hand and something popped. I don't kno what it is but it hurts to even swallow. It hurts the back of my neck to swallow. The hospital told me not to come in anymore over my neck/back to go to my doctor. Well my doctor's next available appt is in November and she said she's not going to help me with my back anymore cause of the spine doctor. The spine doctor says the only thing he is going to do is MRI's so my Gp has a better idea of wht is going on ith my spine. So I guess I just gotta go to the ER. I can't turn my head. I can't lie flat. My left arm is hurting and has that tremor in it again. And there is a knot right beside my cervical spine. I don't know but I think I messed myself up.

Thanks Lynn. I went to the ER and told them what I had done. And told them about how my doctor's nurse told me she had no appts till mid-Nov. Well the physicians assitant that seen me said she called my doc and the secretary told her they had an appt for Oct 7. Made me look like a liar. Then they told me to go home and not come back to ER for back pain. So this is how it is: My spine doc said he could'nt treat my pain because I go to my GP. GP says she can't treat me because I have a spine doc. ER says they can't treat me because it is my GPs place to control my pain. And no matter how many times I tell them what the other's say, they don't listen. But my pain feels alot like a pinched nerve. My grandma gave me one of her pain pills, whch are stronger than mine, and it is'nt helping. It makes me higher than a kite but i still hurt. So it's got to be nerve pain. And it's just the way it hurts. from my shuolderblade to my wrist burns and tingels.

Sounds like nerve pain to me. Sounds like you are caught in the middle. Best way to deal is to male an appt with both at the same time and hook them up by phone so you can get one of then to see you when stuff like this happens. I am sorry you are having to go through that. Sounds like the spind guy should treat this.
Thanks for this!

grrr Could be extra pain caused by inflammation in the spinal area in the neck. Physical therapy sounds like what you need, to gently move those bones back into place so the muscles can relax and the nerves can be free.

Ice or heat, on your neck, which ever helps more. Drink lots of water (helps reduce inflammation) make sure you use a good pillow when you rest or sleep, don't lean one way or the other (head or body) to try and compensate (that makes it worse.)

I'm so sorry you are caught in the stigma and loop of doctors who don't treat pain well. Do you have a talk doctor that can help you manage good thinking through out this?

I'm in a pain flare myself this week, and totally feel for you.

I'm so sorry your doctors are being complete a--holes.
If I was you, I would do some research and find some new doctors.
