pain is always with me but this morning I was getting in the car and slipped in the mud getting in. I didn't fall but caught myself with guess what? my darn back! oh lord it hurts so bad! argh!!!!!!!!!!

Bebop....should you see a doctor or call and ask?Are u able to take something for pain and a warm bath?I hope hope you feel better!!

yeah I am taking my lortabs but the pain is still pretty bad. going to call the dr here in a few minutes I guess. argh! I hate having to go again.

My mum fell and was left laying on the ground till a neighbor came cause he heard her calling out.She was terribly bruised.This was in her front yard in the driveway ...forested area...grr....thank god he helped...are u bruised?

I didn't fall. you know how when you start to fall and you catch yourself with your back? yep that is what happened. I can hardly walk today. going to call the dr in the morning though.

Do you have a heating pad? Use it on and off every 20 minutes.

went to the dr yesterday. was on my walker! Lord I hate that thing. anyway I am going to be going into therapy for it. argh!

awww im so sorry bebop...i hope your back gets better fast...mine is not doing well either...i have to get shots in it on the 21st...not looking forward to that...

Oh Bebop hon!!!!!
Yeah, I fell on the stairs a couple of months ago. My feet just went out from under me, I was airborne for a second or two and my back took the full force of my landing. Had to get paramedics out 'cause I couldn't walk and they took me to hospital. Thankfully(but extremely painfully) I had sprained the muscles in my lower back and ribs under my shoulder blades. I am still recovering.  Valium and anti-inflammatories worked a treat, as well as my walking stick. Have you seen your doc? Take care hon. There is NOTHING worse than hurting your back. I'm sorry, I just saw this thread. I'm glad you are feeling better hon. Man that has got to suck Sometimes I think falling is better than stopping the fall. Then again, when I fell, I broke my elbow and hand.....rethinking that thought! LOL

sabby my thought was I should have just fallen in the mud lol but maybe not! I do have brittle bones

hey sabby, that is what i did too...i was roller skating and tried to stop my fall...but then i guess i was going too fast for my own good and broke my wrist in two places and my pinky in several places too...so i was totally holding my wrist very gingerly and the rink employees called the ambulance...but i refused to go there, and so my friend took me down to the hospital...they put me out to bring the bones together again...and even though i was out she said she still heard me from out in the waiting room...i think i would rather fall in the mud than try to stop myself from falling ever again...and my dr said that my bone scan said i was 55% healthier in terms of my bones than the rest of the females of my age...hmmm...i don't know if that is good or not...maybe not...LOL...sigh...
