Are you having problems with your feet? I know that the shoes we wear really have a lot of effect on our feet. I got into flats & birkenstocks years ago when I blew out my ACL in my knee playing racquettball. The instability in my knee had a great influence on the shoes I was able to wear.

I assume that since you had x-rays done that you are having serious issues.......but I heard from people here in KY that back in the old days, they x-rayed feet at the shoe stores never heard of such a thing in California

I hope they can find some help for your feet. I know it must be a horrible feeling not being able to walk easily. Glad your gravity defery tennis shoes are helping. I know several people who have either broken their foot or their ankle & have a horrible time finding shoes that they can wear & can't walk much without having the good support of their shoes....they have all gone through extensive reconstructive surgery.......can really feel for your condition

I know that surgeries are not easy to build one's courage up for....but if the outcome is positive.....it will be a good thing.

Know I had to have my knee reconstructed after blowing out my ACL playing racquettball (playing on a challenge court against an A player.....won the match, but got carried off the court) It took almost 5 years before I found a ortho Dr that knew what the problem was (before arthroscopic surgery). Had moved into a new home & couldn't even go up the stairs let alone carry the heavy boxes without my knee being so painful & being unstable.

It was a long process with all the PT....but 6 months later, I was down hill skiing in Jackson Hole at our vacation condo. Used a brace for my knee, but I was finally able to function again & even got back to playing racquettball.

It wasn't my feet, which I think may be even more difficult because of all the nerve endings in the bottom of our feet. The one thing I did get from the process was how important the physical therapy (PT) really is. I would have never been able to walk again if it weren't for the PT. All the scar tissue had to be broken up. Don't know if that's an issue with foot surgery or not....but if it is, I highly recommend doing any PT they might suggest.

Will be keeping you in my thoughts as you are going through this difficult time Know you have a lot of difficult things going on in your life.....sorry you have this on top of everything else.
