This is my first time posting in this section. I am a sufferer of restless-leg syndrome. Sometimes I get itchy legs, but almost always I get moderately severe pain in my legs. I will have bouts where it happens every night, but then bouts where it happens less frequently. Lately, I've been starting to have it happen more often. Only now, the pain is in my whole body, not just my legs. I'm worried I might have to add fibromyalgia to my list of diagnoses... My body is in really bad pain right now as I type. From my head to my toes It gets so bad sometimes I don't want my boyfriend to touch me, and I don't want to move around or get up. It doesn't help that I have chronic insomnia, and can't get to sleep tonight. Just makes it worse.. I will have to take a leftover percocet tonight... Oh , and sometimes I get really sharp pain in random joints, but I feel like it may be unrelated, maybe some type of arthritis? sometimes a random joint in my finger will have sharp pain for a few minutes. Sometimes it can be my ankle, knee, or even a joint in my toe. When will the pain stop!

Bless your heart --- I can sure relate! You need to find out what's going on for sure.

How about asking your doctor for a referral to a pain management specialist? This kind of doctor is usually an anesthesiologist. He/she will run tests to determine exactly what's going on, whether it's fibromyalgia or what. Then he can proceed from there with treatment. But you shouldn't be suffering like this.

I've been a chronic painer for over 25 years now, due to spinal problems and Fibro, and I take pain medications cause surgeries & many many procedures didn't work. So pills is all that's left.

PLEASE call your doctor and get that referral as soon as possible so that you can be reasonably comfortable. You won't be pain-free, but it will be better than this! God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee

Hi just read your post and wanted to see how your feeling, any better?
I can totally understand your pain as I'm a fibro sufferer with widespread arthritis and also insomnia.
Its so painful and frustrating and I always want to be more positive about myself but somehow I feel its living an existence not a life! (Sorry just venting don't mean to pull you down)I'm only 34 and have been like this for 8yrs argh it drives me nuts!
I can appreciate every word you've written and until you have this sort of pain nobody can understand what its like.
I would see a doctor and discuss what your feeling as my fibro began with only a couple of symptoms and sometimes an accurate Dx can take a while.
Please take care and remember your not alone

Like jk, I just saw your post. How are you doing now? It would be worth it for you to see a doc and get checked out.

Hi so sorry for the pain you are feeling. I have nerve damage and tryed everything under the sun. Now they put in a spinal cord stimulator. And it works for the most. I hope you get to feeling better real soon.
