I've had uncontrollable migraines for several years. Currently, I am under the care of a pain specialist, but even he is having problems stopping the pain. We've tried all the migraine medications, medications that give migraine relief as a side effect, a peripheral nerve stimulator has been implanted as well, all of which is only partially effective. I spend several days a week in a dark room with breakthrough pain.

I came upon an article about "magic mushrooms" helping cluster headaches. There was some talk about the possibility of them helping migraines as well. Has anyone tried this or know anything about them? I know they are illegal, and to be honest, the thought of a hallucinogenic anything scares me. However, If anyone has information on these mushrooms helping migraines, i'd appreciate it.
