I have Fibromylagia, along with several other body problems, and I can understand your tiredness. Can you tell your teacher you have it? I'm sure she would understand, especially if you're paying her. I play piano, without a teacher right now, and I used to teach beginners, you could tell her and ask her to have more patience as you have this problem.

If she felt bad for you last time, I doubt she's going to get MAD at you this time. Afterall, you're paying her and it's YOUR money -- she's STILL getting paid, right? So what's the problem?
I sure hope she doesn't get mad -- if she does then she's NEVER had any kind of pain in her life. ![]() Try not to worry. If you can't do it, you just can't do it! Fibro is evil. You can do only as much as you can do. God bless -- I have Fibro too and it's miserable. Take care. Hugs, Lee

I went to lessons today, she's developing a lot of problems with her hands so she kind of sympathizes with me (spiral fracture in her left ring finger and trigger finger in her right thumb) She still insists that i need to try to practice and get out of the house... She said if i practice my chords enough, she'll teach me a song next lesson so i guess that's enough incentive to practice regardless of pain, i'll just strap on my heating pad army and sit on my "forever comfy" (yes i bought something from an infomercial but its wonderful)
either way she didn't get mad at me so... |

I can understand too. Have they tried gabapentin or savella? Rheumatology should be all over this. The fatigue can be caused by something else...
For Example, Hypothyroidism, depression, vitamin deficiency, or something else. Talk to PCP and Rheumatology and get labs, and tell them what you are feeling. There has to be a solution for that. If I knew your meds I would be able to give more specific advice...as I know enough about pharmacology and have the resouces to help with that. If they don't cooperate, then ask for a referral to a pain clinic where they can treat your pain better, and still function in life. That is what the pain clinic is for. |

Believe me, I understand. Being a chronic painer myself, when you're in PAIN all the time, you're TIRED all the time. Your body is trying to fight off the constant pain -- and that by itself is very tiring! Add to that the fact that you have Fibromyalgia, which is the inflammation of nerves, etc., and that is extremely tiring! Plus our medications make us tired too.
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see why we're tired. ![]() I have Fibro, along with serious spinal issues, and the pain is nasty. ![]() ![]() Take good care of yourself, and don't push yourself. Make sure you get enough REST too! God bless. hugs, Lee ![]()
