I am usually a fairly positive person, but the last week has done me in! I am so glad my MRI is Friday. I haven't gone to work yet this week and last week I only worked two days. I am a housekeeper by trade and so lower back problems are not something you can work with. I have been able to deal with the neck problem, but it has gotten worse also. I have tried to find another job, but there is not a lot out there especially if you can't perform repetitive tasks or bend, lift and reach. I'm not keeping up on my own housework because of it and I am kind of a clean freak. My yard needs to be mowed and weeded and my garden planted. Reminds me of an old Guy Drake song where he says "Now who's gonna pull that plow?" I have a couple of close friends that I can talk to, but even they are tired of hearing about it especially since the fibromyalgia has plagued me for years. The only place I can vent is in my journal or here. I'm so grateful to be a part of this site and be able to come and say how I really feel instead of always saying that I'm fine with a smile on my face. Arrrggggg! I was on you-tube the other day and listened to The Texas Hippie Coalition "Pissed off and Mad About it". I need a copy of that!

I so get how you feel. I have been sick and in pain for years and I have hardly anyone left in my life I think because I'm not better yet. I am in bed a lot and am waiting for surgery so I just wait with my four dogs who are always there for me. (my husband is really supportive but of course he's at work all day) I am grateful for them and finding this site as it has really started to lift me out of the pit of dispair.

Same here. I've been a spinal patient and in chronic pain for 27 years now (just about 28) and it's getting really OLD. I spend alot of time in bed, and when I'm not in bed, I'm sitting in the rocking chair just like by Grandma. I hurt in places I didn't know I had.

Boy my Mom never told me that getting old would be this rough!

Thank you all for your kindness and compassion. I had my MRI yesterday and so now I eat a lot of "Wait a while pudding with patience sauce". I must wait for someone to read it and then call me. Hopefully it won't be too long because my lower back condition has worsened in the last week or so and I can hardly walk now. I had to medicate myself with Xanex and Flexeril to be able to be put in that tube so today I'm really out of it. I'm going to go lie down now. Thank you again!
