Hello I suffer from weird feelings when I wake up in the morning. My only prescription meds are Abilify 10mg and then Xanax XR 1mg. I take the Xanax in the morning to cope with these feelings I am getting.

To go futher, the feelings I have are very uncomfortable. They last about 1 hour and then once I have gone through everything most of my day is normal (still not normal as it should be though). I have seemed to develop this since being on Abilify but the med has a way of tricking me into thinking it's not the culprit. I have a way to cope with the feelings - and that is by getting used to waking up in this way. I have nothing else I can do. I can tell something is not right because when I get up I feel like I am being made fun of (this is very hard to describe but I just feel like crap to say the least). I find it very hard to do anything out of the norm & I have to just deal with it. It's really not cool and I want it to go away.......

FYI - I have attempted getting off my main drug abilify but haven't been able to because of the hallucinations I get once I stop taking it.

So I'm kind of looking for an alternative to get rid of this. Any thoughts?

Have you discussed this with you doctor? If not, I would definitely talk to my doctor before trying to go off any medication. I've been on abilify and didn't have any issues with it nor any problems when I got off of it.

Yep they seem to not understand why this is happening, or they don't tell me why.
