I have bad nerve pain that starts at the top of my head and ends at my toes. My limbs all have sensory feeling from numbness to pin and needs, to yanking and pulling. One person described Nerve pain to me like a toothache through the body. I would like to hear from others what you do to help your nerve pain. Besides the meds and doc visits what do you do?

I'm so sorry your having nerve pain its an awlful feeling!

The only thing I know to do for it is take Lyrica. Otherwise, I have to deal with it.

Good Question Lorna! (((((((((((Lorna))))))))))))

Lorna ,

Have you taken a look to see if there is any more information on NeuroTalk? You can get there by clicking near the bottom of the set of Forums. Hopefully, there will be a few more tidbits of help there.

It helped on some other matters we were dealing with.

Take care,
Hunny

http://www.headinjury.com/pain.htmThis link says for head injury, but it's a great way to "map
" the pain you have.

I have many types of pain, stemming from various maladies. I find that if I treat the muscle pain first (with heat) that it (they) retain benefits longer, and then I treat the nerve pain (ice.)

I have many, many things I use to manage my pain. Some types of nerve pain respond well to a TENS. (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator.) It's an electronic pain killer.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for your care and advise during this still difficult period. I do have problems now distinguishing nerve versus muscle pain. I think the nerve pain is the sharp ones that travel and muscle seems to be more localized. I hope nobody else has to go through this but I know im not alone...
