Hi all!
I'm new to Psych Central, and wanted to introduce myself to the forum! I found Psych Central through NeuroTalk, and really like what I have found here! I've wandered through many of the forums here in Psych Central, and I believe this site will be very helpful to me! I have many physical and psychological diagnosis, and feel certain I can learn alot here! I live with constant chronic pain of one kind or another, from head to toe! I am also battling being bipolar, with anxiety and PTSD, as well as being manic depressive. I have a very low self esteem, and tend to look at the glass half empty.

I'm a mother of 3 grown children, and 3 grandbabies, which I am very proud of! Both of my marriages were very good in the beginning, but due to the stress of my health issues, the financial difficulties, and being dependent with not being able to drive, my ex's got tired of the situation and walked. I'm doing my best to learn to live on my own again, while being in a dependent situation, however I'm not sure how long this will last. I haven't given up yet!

Several of my health issues are chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, migraines, acid reflux, colitis, IBS, nocturnal enuresis, asthma, and allergies. I had a head on collision 16 years ago that left me with a sudden onset of grand mal seizures due to a closed head injury, now diagnosed as epilepsy, and many different pain related conditions. Lots of the chronic pain issues are a result of deterioration from old injuries like herniated disks in the cervical, and lumbar spine, as well as DDD and bone spurs on the vertabrae. Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, myofascial pain syndrome, carpal tunnel bilateral, torn peroneal brevis tendon right ankle, SI joint dysfunction, rotated vertabrae thoracic spine with radiating rib pain to the sternum, hemangioma, and the list goes on and on. It's almost ridiculous!! If that isn't enough, the most recent x-rays have shown a nodule on my lung, which is being looked into now. It's always something in my world. I do tend to complain alot, but there is alot to complain about! If it isn't one thing, it's 3 others!! This is the primary reason I am sitting here alone most of the time. No one really wants to hear it anymore! Neither do I, but I live with it, and there isn't any escape. Newbie in the house!

I'm taking many different prescriptions, for the long list of illnesses and disorders I live with. Currently those are MS Contin, Lortab, Neurontin, Zanaflex, Daypro, Cymbalta, Lamictal, Desmopressin, Allegra, Clonidine, Toprol, HCTZ, Bentyl, and Protonix...and currently taking 2 antibiotics for a bacterial staph infection of unknown origin. Needless to say, I'm not a very healthy duck!

I hope I haven't bored you to tears yet, or ran you off with my negativity! It seems I am good at that! As with most everyone here, I'm looking for support, and maybe even make a friend or two while I'm roaming around. Newbie in the house!

Looking forward to many good days ahead~

You'll find PC a very supportive site. We understand rants and whines. As long as your eventual main goal is to become better, or the best you can be, you'll do fine, imo. But being here to get through the day works for many of us Newbie in the house! Welcome again! Newbie in the house!
