I want to say yes you are to young for arthritis but it does happen to young people. I have had RA since I was 20 and now I am 30 and have had 3 hip replacements, lower back fused and now scheduled for another fusion just above the one I already have.

If you have any questions about arthritis feel free to ask!

I'm 26 and just been for the blood test today, so I guess late 30s can't be too young

What sort of things do you do with you hands on a daily bases that makes them ache?
Are the joints in your fingers and your wrist swollen?
One hand or both hands hurt?
Do your hands go numb?
Ever been tested for carpel tunnel???
I know they make a stretchy/thin glove and I believe it also wraps around the wrist...its like a half glove leaving your fingers exposed, its just something that is snug and will support your hands and wrists when they start to hurt. But if you do a lot to typing or using your hands strenuously, I would lean towards carpel tunnel but if your having other joints in your body that are very stiff, achy, swollen, it could be a form of arthritis.

I don't want to assume but judging by your member name, you live in the northeast? Everyone (or very close to it) living in the northeast there body is very low on vitamin D. People living out west don't have this issue because the sun actually provides us with vitamin D that our body absorbs. If you don't already try taking a multi vitamin and also take calcium citrate + D that also has magnesium. Try taking those 2 things and see if that will help any? Cant hurt to try...our bodies need these sorts of things.
