I guess it's not really painful, but very annoying. The area surrounding my eyes always twitches, sometimes nonstop for several minutes. It gets in the way of my sight so I have to put my hand over my eye to stop it, otherwise it'll go on forever. It happens everyday, especially if something is really bothering me. I had a really tough semester in school a couple of years back and my nose wouldn't stop twitching for the entire semester. As I am typing this, my lips and cheek are twitching. I know others notice it too, because they've commented on it. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you deal with it?

Muscle strain can cause this, I know (it does me.) But since I have neuropathies, that can too.
I think allergies can cause it. Maybe you're allergic to your pencil eraser or something "stupid" like that (no allergy is stupid though.) It might be what is called a "tic" facial tics are common... guess you can google that and see if it helps you with information. Good wishes!

I, too, would like to know the cause of this. For me it isn't an everyday occurence, but a once in a while annoyance. I haven't had it in other areas of my face, but my eyes I have, especially in the corners. Well it's good to know I'm not the only one, I thought I was just losing my mind.
